Declaration on accessibility

Valid for: https://gam-medical.de/

1. general description of the service

GAM Medical DACH UG (haftungsbeschränkt) offers online ADHD diagnosis and treatment services via this website. Users can take a free ADHD self-test, book online appointments for professional diagnosis and, once diagnosed, take advantage of treatment options such as psychoeducation or drug therapy. The service is aimed at adults with suspected ADHD.

2. explanations on the implementation of the service

Our services can be used entirely online. Users navigate via the website to the desired areas (ADHD test, diagnostics booking, treatment options), fill out forms and take part in appointments with psychologists, psychotherapists and psychiatrists via video conferencing. A stable internet connection is required.

3. applicable legal requirements

The accessibility requirements are set out in the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG), in particular in Section 14 BFSG in conjunction with Annex 3 BFSG. Annex 3 BFSG, as well as from the Ordinance to the Accessibility Reinforcement Act (BFSGV). The technical requirements are based on the harmonized European standard EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

4. accessibility status (compliance status)

Status: This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements.

We use the accessibility tool “Ally” to support and continuously improve accessibility.

5 Non-accessible content and known barriers

The following areas are currently not completely barrier-free:

  • Missing widget labels: Some interactive controls on several pages do not have meaningful labels (aria-labels), which hinders the use of screen readers (WCAG 1.3.1, 4.1.2).
  • Keyboard navigation: It is not always possible to navigate and operate individual elements using the keyboard, especially with forms and drop-down menus. The focus sequence is sometimes not comprehensible (WCAG 2.1.1, 2.4.3).
  • Missing iframe titles: Embedded content (e.g. video player, external tools) lacks clear title attributes. This sometimes creates keyboard traps from which keyboard users cannot escape (WCAG 2.1.2, 4.1.2).
  • Duplicated navigation labels: Navigation contains multiple identical or confusingly similar labels, leading to confusion and disorientation for screen reader users (WCAG 1.3.1, 2.4.8).
  • Duplicated banner labels: Several banner areas have identical ARIA labels or headings, which makes orientation even more difficult for users of screen readers (WCAG 1.3.1, 2.4.8).
  • Contrast behavior of buttons: Some buttons and controls do not meet the required contrast ratio of at least 3:1 between text color and background. This impairs recognizability for people with visual impairments or in poor lighting conditions (WCAG 1.4.3, 1.4.11).

We are actively working to remove these barriers and achieve full compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
